e-Science Centre

The idea of remotely driven exhibits started in 2007 by Hiša eksperimentov, with its first e-driven exhibit being opened in 2009. European Commissioner for Science and Research dr. Janez Potočnik opened the exhibition remotely from his office in Brussels on October 25, 2009.

Soon, the development of other e-xhibits followed, and e-Science Centre (or e-Museum) was developed. The idea's core is a collaborative e-Science Centre where the consortium of Science Centres and Museums would join forces and transform some of the exhibits into remotely driven by e-visitors.
